Cupping is a form of deep tissue massage and is available using plastic (suction) or glass (fire) cups. For plastic suction cups, the cup is placed on the skin and a hose/gun device is used to remove air, creating a section. For glass fire cupping, the inside of glass cups are heated with fire and then placed on the skin (no, it isn’t hot and will not burn you). Once on the skin, as the temperature inside the cup cools it creates suction. This happens within a matter of seconds. The suction from the cups pulls the tissue below up into the cup and gently breaks up stagnant tissue, resulting in increased blood flow! Christina will go over everything beforehand and will communicate with you during the session. It’s a must try for everyone- not just athletes!

This is truely the holy grail of relaxation. Warm, smooth rocks are used to massage and relax muscles all over the body! The warm palpation of the rocks provides deep muscle relaxation without the intensity of a deep tissue massage.
-
Tools such as white rocks, cloth, rice/bean bags, or Gua Sha tools are cooled and are applied or used to work a certain area. Cooling the tissue interrupts the pain signal of the nerves and decreases the blood flow which reduces the inflammation and swelling that’s causing pain and irritation, giving you sweet relief. During you massage it can soothe ailments from allergies, trauma, sports injuries, arthritis, menopause, migraines, edema, and muscle spasms (and other forms of inflammation in the body).
